Today is the last day of the 20th Annual Winter Exhibition, and what a year it's been. The gallery turned 20 (my golly we feel old!!) and celebrated in style!
Neil Packer generously designed us a bespoke logo that you may have spotted at the bottom of any email correspondence, which depicts the front of the gallery in its unscaffolded finery.
We have been absolutely thrilled to play host to such celebrated illustrators as Edward Ardizzone and Beatrix Potter during our Winter Exhibition, and would like to thank all of the visitors to the gallery for their continued support.
During the Exhibition period we also had a wonderful Annual Winter Festival Day, which blew away the winter blues with some fabulous classical guitar from our pal George Tarleton, who lulled visitors with his sweet melodies.
We were also thrilled to welcome Laura Carlin and Louise Yates to the gallery, who were signing copies of their books, which are still available to purchase in store and over the phone:
To thank all of the marvellous illustrators that we work with, we also held a special 20th anniversary lunch in the gallery.
This picture 'Cocktails' by Anita Jeram sums up the festive feeling from the afternoon.
Keep an eye on the Illustration Gallery website, as we finalise our exhibition line-up for 2016 - we hope you enjoy what the gallery has to offer. A belated Happy New Year to you all and we look forward to welcoming you to the gallery soon!
